Welcome to Child Gambling Protection Project!
Our Goal
Child Gambling Protection Project is a not-for-profit organization whose main goal is to develop, maintain and improve software to block child gambling and prevent addictive online gaming. Currently, we focus on poker gambling by blocking access to downloadable software on the child`s computer as well as to poker websites.
We focus on providing parents with a tool to help prevent teenagers` addictive online gambling behavior. There are two purposes of our anti gambling software: preventive and reinforcing.
Parents realize that youth are prone to flashy advertisements as well as to peer pressure when it comes to online gambling. Poker gambling websites draw teenagers to gamble for money, which can lead to many problems in the teenager`s life. Currently, there are limited number of programs to block gambling on the market that block child gambling access to downloadable poker playing software as well as poker websites. Block online gambling is one our two main goals.
Additionally, Child Gambling Protection Project builds a community around our project. Our vision is to bring together people who have different outlooks on this problem and develop techniques to target youth gambling problem, theoretically and practically.
We want to reinforce what parents and psychologists try to stop. Once a child gets professional help for his or her addictive online gambling behavior, there is reinforcement that needs to take place. Since a lot of the school work requires computers and internet access, most parents cannot simply restrict computer use. Additionally, while parents are at work, the teenager will continue playing if presented with an opportunity.
Along with other types of help, i.e. counseling, gambling anonymous help lines and parental advice, our anti gambling software can be one of the steps to help a teenager deal with addictive internet gaming behavior. It can serve as a positive reinforcement of the professional help he or she is getting.
Formed as a non-profit, Child Gambling Protection Project puts it as a priority to influence the youth in order that they grow up debt-free and with no addictions to online gambling.
Currently, Child Gambling Protection Project focuses on internet poker programs and websites, but has plans to expand into other addictive gambling software. As part of our mission, we want to provide options to every parent, regardless of income. Thus, we have a free version version. We believe that software to block child gambling, specially youth, should be FREE. However, for further development, we welcome donations from those who would like to do that.

What We Do
We offer parents a physical solution as part of many steps that are necessary to help prevent child gambling and stop teenagers who are already addicted to poker gambling.

- When gambling activity is detected, it silently blocks access to the external resource, however, the computer is not shutdown as other parental tools do (resulting in information loss, etc.)
- Automated and Manual Updates - you will automatically receive updates from us provided you meet system requirements described at installation
- Phone (SMS) or e-mail notifiction on child`s gambling activity
- Easy Install and Easy Uninstall!
- Password protected uninstallation. Password for uninstall will be asked during installation process. If a correct password is entered, then software will be uninstalled from your computer. If a wrong password will be entered during uninstallation process, then software will remain installed on the PC to further protect your children.
